After browsing the critiques page for a while and finding nothing I'd like to devote at least 10 minutes of my time writing about... I see this. I have to say, I smiled at the title. I'm not quite sure what popped into my head upon reading it, but I found it very appropriate for the image.

I love the grayscale to this picture. I really do. It feels almost unreal due to the stark white background, almost as if there is some sort of intangible moment transpiring here between the child and its holder that cannot even be conceived of... and I love how the child is being supported by the hands in that way. I have a very hard time finding any sort of fault with this in part for the fact that I am not an expert on photography, but in part for the fact that I can only go by what I feel when I look at it. I certainly felt a lot when I saw this, it caught my attention immediately out of all the others on the page.

This is a lovely piece, keep it up

This is a wonderful piece with a truely original composition and execution. The juxtaposition of ages here, the implicit size comparisons, the well-executed exposure; this image is firing on all cylinders. I particularly like how you can see both subject's hands, and how you cannot see either's face. This ties the two subjects together while making them anonymous. Choosing a monochrome palette actually makes the impact more grounded; it gives it a timeless feel and beauty... this photo could have been taken 80 years ago. Finally, there is nothing in the image that distracts from it's concept - this lends it a purity and tells of strong technique in the photographer.
